Useful information about Enchastrayes cabin

Traditional, minimalist, solid wood cabin for a family. It has an efficiently organized living space, with 2 bedrooms, bathroom and toilet, kitchen area and an integrated living room. The project designed by the architect and implemented by the beneficiary was based on the creation of a complex of 4 cabins in the French Alps (Hautes Alpes).

The exterior and interior walls are made of 100/200 mm solid wood beams, double profiled and insulated for thermal efficiency of the construction.

The ceiling is made of 21 mm thick paneling, mounted over beams, over which comes 200 mm mineral wool insulation. The roof includes the truss structure consisting of 100/200 mm rafters, 140/90 mm beams, 40/60 mm rafters and the roof covering (tiles or sheet metal provided by the beneficiary).

The pictures above show the cabin with a terrace. Additionally (for a fee), a terrace can be made that includes the roof in the continuation of the cabin, interior view in wood paneling, 150/150 mm posts, anti-slip profiled deck on one side and a railing made with a handrail and 40/40 mm vertical fence elements.

The cabin's floor is made of 21 mm thick softwood flooring, over the concrete foundation slab.
