Saissac Wooden House

This single-storey house, with a traditional structure and mostly glazed facades, is available in the version with three bedrooms, a spacious living room with integrated kitchen, relaxation area (veranda) and bathroom. The plan is organized according to the simplicity of a wooden house: after entering, we enter the living space which is located in the extension of the open kitchen. On the south side, a space with large glazed surfaces is created for the relaxation area.

The exterior walls are made of 100/200 mm solid wood beams. The beams that make up the walls are provided with wood settlement compensation systems and are fixed to each other horizontally with acacia wood nails. In addition, if an energy-efficient cottage is desired, an estimate can be provided for additional works with a wall structure with additional insulation.

We emphasize that our achievements mean solid wood cabins, built by carpenters in the traditional way, not to be confused with a light wooden structure (timber frame, framing, wood frame, sandwich panels, American system, etc.), in which only the pillars and uprights are made of wood, the rest is wall covering material such as paneling, drywall or OSB, between which the insulation is installed.

The ceiling is made with apparent beams, 21 mm thick paneling, over which comes 200 mm mineral wool insulation. The roof includes the truss structure consisting of 100/200 mm rafters, 140/90 mm beams, 40/60 mm lath and the roof covering (anti-condensation foil, tiles or sheet metal provided by the beneficiary).

The pictures above show the cottage with a terrace. In addition, a terrace that includes the roof as a continuation of the cabin be built, interior view in softwood paneling, 150/150 mm posts, anti-slip profiled deck on one side and a railing made with a handrail and 40/40 mm vertical fence elements.

The floor of the house is made of 21 mm thick softwood flooring, except for the bathrooms and kitchen where the installation of ceramic tiles is provided, by the beneficiary.

The interior joinery consists of Eco Euro Doors (delivered without a door frame).
